Contra

Have you ever played Contra for Nintendo Entertainment System?

Released by Konami in 1987 for arcades, Contra, aka Gryzor in Europe and Oceania, is one of the most popular action and shot game of all time.

Contra was divided into 8 stages very difficult and 3 lives on the beggining and a rifle. Besides shooting the enemies the player can also jump, move and shoot in eight different directions, and move or jump while sending bullets. Unfortunately, with just a touch or shot, the character dies, making the game one of the most difficult of all time, too. The Contra games released later were even harder than the first.

There are a total of four weapons that the player can get from flying capsules or boxes and they are: a machine gun, a laser gun, a firearm and a gun spread. There are also two other power-ups: one that increases the speed of the player shooting and another that will provide the player temporarily invincibility.

In addition to reasons already mentioned above, another factor that turned it one of the great classics was that the cooperative mode allows two players to play at the same time.
